The Department of Tourism and Hotel Business of Faculty of Economics and Business invites you to participate in the All-Russian conference with business representatives on the topic: “Digital Technologies in Increasing the Tourist Attractiveness of Territories: the Most Important Digital Solutions”, which will be held on March 30, 2022 at 19.00.

Why is the topic of tourism digitalization relevant now?

The spread of digital technologies leads to fundamental changes in the national economy. The use of digital technologies has influenced both the very essence and form of the provision of tourist services, and the organization of business. The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has developed a strategy until 2035, which is aimed at developing domestic and inbound tourism in Russia using digital technologies. The document was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation on September 20, 2021.
Digital platforms and digital ecosystems based on them play a special role in changing the activities of companies, which form fundamentally new technologies for the interaction of all market participants. Tourism companies involved in digital ecosystems will receive a number of advantages by creating additional joint value of services, expanding their customer base, increasing sales and profits, providing consumers with convenient digital communications, and gaining new competitive advantages.

Digital systems currently act as a progressive form of tourism business organization, because they fully implement a client-centric model that best meets the needs of the user.
