Dear students, graduates, PhD students, faculty, and university employees!

Congratulations on passing the winter exam session and beginning of the long-awaited holiday! Unfortunately, it is overshadowed by the worsening epidemiological situation both in the Moscow region and throughout the country. The situation remains tense at our home – the Financial University. Every day we record an increase in the numbers of infected.

I would like to emphasize that ensuring safety of your lives and health is always the highest priority for the university’s management. In this regard, given the gravity of the situation, I have taken the difficult decision to temporarily transfer the classes of students in the Moscow region (at least until the end of February) to the distance learning format. Reexaminations, starting from Monday, January 31, will also take place online.

We also monitor the epidemiological situation in the regions where the FinU has its branches. Decisions on the temporary transfer of students to distance learning are made by the university’s management after analyzing the situation carefully both in the branch and in the whole region. Heads of branches inform independently their students and employees about the transition to distance learning.

We will closely monitor the changes in the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the Moscow region and other constituent entities of the Russian Federation and, if there are stable signs of improvement, we will switch back to offline studies. The relevant information will be published on the University website and on our social media at least 7 days before the date of transfer to face-to-face classes. Please follow the news feed closely.

I am sure that the distance learning process as before will be held at a high-quality level.
I would like to take this opportunity and remind you that only vaccination can protect you from the severe consequences of the COVID-19 infection.

Make the most of your holidays and try to gain strength and energy before the second semester. Be healthy. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
