Russian traditional amusements

On 13.01.2022 the third meeting of lecture hall on Russian history and culture "The Russian Way" took place in Financial University. The speaker was the chief specialist of International Students and Faculty Department Anton Fenev. The lecture was devoted to Russian traditional winter amusements.

Foreign students of the Financial University learned about a wide variety of traditional winter amusements in Russia, ranging from the well-known "snowballs" and ice skating, to old Russian games, such as: "snow fortress assault" and "climbing a pole for prizes".

Students gave positive feedback about the beginning of cultural winter events, noting the interesting material of the lecture and the exciting first experience at the skating rink. Some listeners even organized their own small groups and agreed to visit Moscow skating rinks more often.

In total, more than 60 people from 12 countries took part in the lecture, and 20 foreign students went to the skating rink.
 
As part of the winter skating events, 3 trips are planned:
- January 15 - the skating rink in Sokolniki;
- January 22 - the skating rink at VDNKh;
- January 29 - the "Mirror" skating rink in Gorky Park.
