“FinU is the flagship of financial and economic education, which has gained high prestige in the international academic community. We are proud that among our alumni there are three Vietnamese Ministers of Finance of different years, deputy ministers, the former head of the State Bank of Vietnam and leading businessmen. The demand for alumni of our University in many foreign countries once again confirms that we train specialists of international level, who meet the highest requirements and international standards,” said Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Director of the Training Centre for Finance Officers under the Ministry of Finance of the SRV, in his welcoming speech noted that the long-term fruitful cooperation with the FinU significantly contributes to the training of specialists capable of finding solutions to the most important socio-economic problems and strengthening friendly relations between states, and also expressed readiness to support new joint projects.
The parties paid special attention to the exchange of experience between specialists of the two countries and discussed the possibilities of organizing educational projects that will allow employees of the Vietnamese financial authorities to visually study the structure and features of the Russian financial system.
The discussion of cooperation continued in the SRV Treasury: Stanislav Prokofiev spoke about the treasury payment system created in Russia in 2021 and the initial results of the project. As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on the creation of training courses for Vietnamese officials.
On the same day the FinU and the Hanoi Financial and Banking University signed a cooperation agreement. The document signed by the rectors of the universities provides for a wide range of cooperation in educational and scientific activities. The parties agreed to launch academic exchange programs for students and faculty. The participants of the meeting also expressed interest in organizing joint projects in information security and financial technologies.
