The business programme opened with a meeting at Hoa Binh University, sponsored by Sovico Corporation, one of Vietnam’s largest diversified conglomerates specializing in banking and finance, as well as energy, construction and aviation.
During the talks, the parties noted the strategic nature of the partnership between Russia and Vietnam and emphasized the great potential in the development of economic and trade relations.
As part of strengthening national and intercultural communication between specialists of the countries, Hoa Binh University plans to open a Russian language department. Experts from the FinU will provide their colleagues with the necessary methodological support.
During the meeting the parties also discussed the possibilities of organizing short-term educational programmes for Vietnamese students in economics, finance and new technologies at the FinU, and agreed on cooperation in scientific research on AI in economics, fintech and digital currencies.
The business program of the FinU delegation’s visit to Vietnam continued with a meeting at the Banking Academy of Vietnam, with which FinU has been developing partnerships for more than 10 years. As part of the event, a solemn ceremony was held to sign the first agreement for the FinU to implement a joint master’s double-degree program with a university in Vietnam - “Financial Risk Management”.
The parties also signed updated agreements on cooperation and academic exchange.
During the signing ceremony, Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, noted that cooperation with one of the leading universities in Vietnam will allow students to significantly expand their career prospects and increase their demand in the labor market.
During the visit, Stanislav Prokofiev also held an open lecture “Treasury Management of State Cash Flows” for students and teachers of the Vietnam Banking Academy and spoke about the peculiarities of the Russian financial system.
