Financial University, in partnership with SberFirst, has launched an exclusive course on capital management to train financial advisors. The program will run from September to December 2026. Upon completion, students will receive a corporate certificate confirming basic qualifications in capital management, which will eventually allow them to work with clients whose savings range from 15 to 500 million rubles.
The course curriculum includes an introduction to premium banking, an overview of equity and bond financial markets, derivatives, macroeconomics for bankers, as well as products and services for capital management. The training is built around real-world case studies and interactive seminars, culminating in a final project. The classes will be taught by SberFirst experts — practicing financial advisors, department heads, and personal managers for premium clients.
Russia is currently actively working to develop effective financial mechanisms for growing its national economy. The market will need a new generation of premium banking professionals capable of working effectively with young capital holders. This unique educational program is designed to produce exactly such specialists. Through discussions with instructors and practitioners, as well as direct knowledge and experience sharing among participants, the program goes beyond traditional financial education to address the unique challenges faced by capital creators, heirs, and their families. The key insight the course provides is that private capital management begins not with assets, but with the client's goals and life.
Ekaterina Kameneva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, noted:
"This joint initiative with our strategic partner is a vivid example of theory meeting real practice. Our students don't just study financial models — they analyze real-life cases, interact with active premium banking experts, and gain skills that are in demand in the market. The opportunity to intern at Sber is an excellent career springboard. We are confident that such partnerships — built on immersion in the profession through real-world tasks and direct contact with employers — are the key to training a new generation of financial advisors ready to work with the highest levels of capital."
Artyom Alyoshkin, Senior Vice President and Head of the B2C Customer Experience Development unit, emphasized:
"Capital management is always about trust. For the client, it's the ability to achieve life and financial goals. For the banker, it's the ability to assemble a team of top experts. Our new program at Financial University teaches the most important thing: to see the person behind the numbers, to build trusting relationships with premium clients, and to take responsibility for someone else's capital as if it were your own. Students who complete this unique course will not only gain comprehensive capital management skills but also secure an internship in Sber's premium banking division. This is a career start with enormous growth potential."
