Fr om December 15-18, 2025, the Financial University hosted a vibrant week dedicated to cultural diversity. The event, organized by the university's Department of International Activities, was a true celebration of friendship, cultural exchange, and student creativity, bringing together numerous participants from a dozen countries.
Students created unique displays representing their home countries in the main building's hall at the Financial University on Leningradsky Prospekt. Each guest could embark on a round-the-world journey: On December 15, visitors were immersed in the welcoming atmosphere of Central Asia, featuring Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Mongolia. On December 16, participants delved into the incredible cultures of Africa with representatives from Sudan, Zambia, Chad, Uganda, and Nigeria. On December 17, the festival participants invited everyone to journey through the countries of East and West Asia, including Vietnam, South Korea, China, Cambodia, Turkey, and Abkhazia. The final day of the fair was dedicated to Europe, with Moldova, Slovakia, Greece, France, Belarus, and Serbia. On December 18, an exhibition was held at the Higher School of Management faculty on Verkhnyaya Maslovka, preceding the festival's main event – a celebratory concert. The stage that evening transformed into a map of the world, illuminated by talents. Students from Vietnam, Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Belarus, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Slovakia, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Sudan showcased their artistry with brilliance and enthusiasm. Each performance was a living illustration of the richness and beauty of world culture.
A special, touching moment was the performance by Mirlan Tazhiev, a participant in the special military operation and the father of a first-year student from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications at the Financial University, Aytegin Asylbekov.
Distinguished guests at the celebratory concert included Mr. Patrik Rekša, Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in the Russian Federation; Mr. Suhrob Abdulloev, Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation; and Ms. Zahra Mohammad Mahdi Rashidbeigi, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation.
During the event, a ceremony was held to award honorary certificates to foreign and Russian student activists who dedicate themselves to organizing international events. Letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to volunteers by Alexandra Chetvertakova, Head of the Department of International Activities at the Financial University.
The "Bridges of Friendship: Unity of Cultures" festival once again vividly demonstrated that the Financial University is a unique platform for dialogue wh ere mutual respect, genuine curiosity, and true friendship prevail, capable of breaking down all barriers.
