On April 10, 2026, a delegation from the Financial University visited the Ministry of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, thanked Financial University Rector Stanislav Prokofiev and the university staff for their longstanding contributions to Russia-Vietnam cooperation in education: “The 2014 Agreement on Strategic Partnership in Education, Science, and Technology between Russia and Vietnam was a natural extension of the comprehensive cooperation established back in 2011. Since then, relations between our countries have steadily expanded, particularly in the educational sphere. Your contributions form the foundation for a strong bridge between our peoples.”
Stanislav Prokofiev emphasized that the Financial University has been educating Vietnamese students for many years, with more than 200 currently enrolled. He highlighted their strong drive for knowledge and high level of professional training.
“Two and a half years ago, the Russia-Vietnam Consortium of Economic Universities was launched, and it now includes 11 higher education institutions from Russia and Vietnam. The consortium's key goal is to provide Russian students with access to Vietnam's education system. The results speak for themselves: over 100 Russian students have completed six-month internships at Vietnam's top universities. I am confident that further strengthening bilateral educational cooperation will serve as a solid foundation for bringing the peoples of Russia and Vietnam closer together,” noted Stanislav Prokofiev.
Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, presented the commemorative medal of the Ministry of Education and Training of the SRV for contributions to the development of education in Vietnam to Financial University Rector Stanislav Prokofiev. The Ministry's awards for contributions to the development of education in Vietnam were also given to Lilia Prihodko, Deputy Dean for Relations with Russian and International Partners at the university's Faculty of Finance, and To Thi Tuyet Khanh, Ambassador of Russian Education in Vietnam and Chief Specialist of the Financial University's Department of International Activities.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the further development of the Russia-Vietnam Consortium of Economic Universities, as well as issues related to overseeing international scientific research and grants.
