Quality of Education

The Financial University has developed its own system for assessing the quality of education. The primary focus in this area is on creating and enhancing mechanisms to ensure the quality of graduate training, in accordance with federal state educational standards as well as standards independently established by the University. The quality of education is highly regarded both externally-through rankings, international, public, and professional accreditation-and internally-via student surveys, monitoring the effectiveness and quality of educational programs.

Quality of Education

75% of bachelor's and master's programs have received external independent assessment marks, including international and professional-public accreditation. All educational programs are designed and implemented in close collaboration with partner employers

Quality of Education

Since 2023, the University has been offering bachelor's and master's programs that enable students to earn double degrees simultaneously.

Quality of Education

Since 2021, the Financial University has been implementing the "2+2" system. After two years, students develop versatile skills that meet the needs of individuals and society, focusing on general cultural and social-personal qualities of graduates. They also acquire foundational professional knowledge that broadens their horizons and is applicable across various fields. The remaining two years are dedicated to in-depth study of specialized disciplines directly related to the student's chosen professional trajectory.

Quality of Education

The Financial University is among the leading institutions authorized to develop its own educational standards. To date, 13 bachelor's and 14 master's standards have been created, updated, and approved, along with requirements for training faculty in the University's postgraduate programs. Approximately 80% of the educational programs are delivered in accordance with these proprietary standards.

Student Affairs and Development

The implementation of student affairs objectives and student development initiatives is a key component of the educational system at the Financial University. This work is overseen by the Vice-Rector for Social Work and Extracurricular Activities, along with various structural units under their supervision, deputy deans responsible for student affairs, mentors of halls of residence, faculty members, and student organizations. The University hosts a wide range of creative, club-based, and sports associations.

Student Council

The largest student organization at the university is the Student Council, established to foster active civic engagement among students and to support the development of their independence, self-organization skills, and personal growth. Each year, the Student Council organizes over 100 leisure, educational, social, and sports events and projects. Among these are initiatives such as the "Coordinator" project to help first-year students adapt to university life; the "Freshman Quest"; training sessions aimed at developing self-management skills including "Activation School" and " Activation School II"; University Gala; the interfaculty music competition "In Unison"; and the city street culture festival "Urban Fest."

Creative Teams

Significant attention is given to supporting talented youth and fostering the development of students' creative activities. Currently, 16 creative teams and studios operate successfully, including the University Choir, the vocal ensemble "Finmuse," the Solo Vocal Studio, the Folk Song Ensemble, the Student Theater "FUNT," the Hosting Studio, the Choreography Studio "Frappé," the Folk Dance Ensemble, the Contemporary Dance Group "Liberté," the Dance Collective "Lib Crew," the Ballroom Dance Studio, the Partner Dance Club "Step Forward," the Ballet Studio, the Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble "Atmosphere," the Drummers' Ensemble, and the Inspiration Studio. Over the years, these groups have performed numerous performances and have earned many awards. In 2021 alone, they received laureate titles at three international festivals, four national competitions, two city-level events, and two university contests.

Student Clubs

The University has a well-developed club movement, with 11 diverse student organizations actively operating. These include the Zebra Chess Club, the Expedition Club, the Literary Club, the Intellectual Games Club, the Case Study Club, the Debating Club, the Practice-Oriented "Self-Governance Beyond Borders" Club, the Young Finance Professionals Club, the Search Team "Memory of the 13th Division of People's Militia," the Nordic Walking Club, and the Business English Club. The activities of these clubs are multifaceted, allowing students to develop various skills and participate in nationwide and international projects. For example, in 2021, the Chess Club received a grant of 1 million rubles to implement the All-Russian chess project "Your Move," where participants from 25 regions of Russia competed for the title of best chess player.

Volunteer Activities

The university places great importance on volunteer activities through its Volunteer Center. Its main role is organizing "event volunteering," which means helping to plan and run major events at local, regional, national, and international levels-such as conferences, forums, festivals, and concerts. In 2021, the center celebrated its 5th anniversary, and over the years, more than 5,000 people have been involved in volunteer work.

Supporting International Students

Since our university welcomes students from 90 countries around the world, we have developed and implemented a comprehensive program to support their socio-cultural and psychological adaptation. This program is based on our own research and involves collaboration with leading international experts. It includes four main stages and provides ongoing support to international students throughout their studies at the university.

Every year, we organize a variety of activities and projects as part of this initiative, such as the "UniFriend" peer mentorship program; off-campus leadership and conflict resolution training sessions called "Leader-Camp"; an open lecture series on Russian history and culture titled "The Russian Way," complemented by sightseeing excursions; practical Russian language courses to help overcome language barriers; meetings with successful alumni.

In addition, we provide migration and visa support to ensure that international students stay compliant with Russian immigration laws and feel secure during their studies.
