University of Pécs Summer School (Hungary): International Study Opportunities in Summer 2026Students of the Financial University are invited to participate in the international summer school at the University of Pécs (Pécs, Hungary), which will take place in July–August 2026. The program is organized by the university’s International Centre and annually brings together students from various countries around the world. The University of Pécs Summer School has been operating since 2016 and has become one of the most well-known international educational programs in Central Europe. Over a thousand students from dozens of countries have taken part in it, creating a unique multicultural academic environment and contributing to the development of international academic cooperation. The summer school programs are conducted in English and are open to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students. The courses are organized in intensive academic modules lasting two or four weeks. In 2026, participants can choose from the following two-week academic programs (July 4–18, 2026): European Studies — exploration of political, economic, and cultural processes in Europe, as well as current issues of European integration; Leadership Skills — development of leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills; Sustainability – Social Ecology — study of sustainable development and the interaction between society and the environment; International Human Rights Law — a program focused on international human rights protection mechanisms and contemporary international law. Each program lasts two weeks and provides 6 ECTS credits. Participants may also choose a four-week study format (July 4 – August 2, 2026), which combines an academic course with the Debate Academy program aimed at developing public speaking, argumentation, and academic debate skills. In this case, students can earn up to 12 ECTS credits. The participation fee for the two-week programs ranges from €1,050 to €1,450, while the four-week program costs between €2,100 and €2,500. The fee includes tuition, accommodation, lunches on study days, two dinners per week, as well as participation in cultural and sports activities. In addition to academic classes, participants will enjoy a rich cultural program. Students will be able to take part in international meetups, excursions, sports events, themed evenings, Hungarian cuisine tastings, and other activities. Events include dragon boat races, dance evenings, karaoke, quizzes, bowling, and other informal networking opportunities with students from different countries. The city of Pécs is one of the cultural centers of Hungary and is known for its rich history, architecture, and strong university traditions. Studying at the summer school offers students the opportunity to experience the European academic environment, expand professional networks, and gain international educational experience.
