On February 20, 2026, Pavel Sapozhnikov, Director of the Institute International Education of the Financial University, held a meeting with Natalia Vershinina, the head of the BRICS Mobility international project. The BRICS Mobility project is aimed at interacting with the countries in Africa on the implementation of innovative methods of recruitment and professional training of the continent's workforce.
The participants discussed the expansion of international educational cooperation in the interests of strengthening relations with the countries in Africa and outlined priority areas for joint activities:

Implementation of additional programs to improve the skills of management personnel from African countries. This will provide an opportunity for representatives of the executive authorities of the countries to study the best practices of Russian management in the field of public and municipal administration;

Joint development of training courses for subject teachers and methodologists from schools in African countries. Special attention will be paid to teaching Russian, mathematics, economics and natural sciences, as well as preparing applicants from African countries for admission to leading Russian universities.;

Implementation of international educational projects to support small and medium-sized businesses in Africa, contributing to the development of local companies and the creation of sustainable partnerships with Russian businesses, including the organization of practical seminars, trainings and workshops aimed at improving the competitiveness of regional entrepreneurs.
Cooperation with the countries of the African continent is a priority area for the Institute of International Education in light of the implementation of the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation and the upcoming Third Russia–Africa Summit in 2026.
