The Department of Legal Regulation of Economic Activities is an organizational part of the structure of the Faculty of Law of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, which was created as a result of the transformation of the Department of Legal Regulation of Economic Activity by the Order ¹ 3153/o dated December 20, 2023.
The relevance of the legal profession in today's difficult economic conditions is realized only if there is a set of skills that allow a specialist to adapt to any changes in the labor market. The symbiosis of the disciplines of "classical jurisprudence" implemented by the Department and unique disciplines provides a wide range of future professions, allows you to successfully solve problems related to the career development of young specialists.
The Department educates lawyers according to the bachelor's degree program in the program "Civil and Commercial Law" and master's degree programs, such as "Lawyer for Private Business and State", "Legal Support of Business Activity (Corporate Lawyer)". The Department actively cooperates with business entities - partners, which allows the students to acquire, for example, skills for minimizing the risks of entrepreneurial activity in the development of business concepts, identifying the most promising start-ups, etc.
The Department provides high quality education in accordance with the Federal State educational standards and independently established educational standards of higher education of the Federal State educational institution "Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation" in the concentrations of education, such as 40.03.01 bachelor's degree, 40.04.01 master's degree, 40.06.01 postgraduate studies.
The educational process is carried out in accordance with the educational standards, work programs and methodological support tools approved in accordance with the procedure established by the Financial University, the peculiarities of which include the use of forms of intermediate control that exclude formal attitude to disciplines (written form of exams, systematic monitoring of the quality of teaching by students ("teacher through the eyes of a student", etc.).
The development of the educational process is carried out on the basis of generalization of foreign and Russian best practices, new educational technologies are actively used at the Department, students actively participate in various conferences, round tables and other active intellectual events that contribute to the development of soft skills, etc.
The Department promotes the development of Russian legal science through active and systematic publication of the results of research, scientific and methodological activities in the field of legal regulation of economic activity. The Department also actively participates in various kinds of competitions for scientific grants, in the examination of doctoral theses, scientific articles, monographs, textbooks, tutorials prepared for publication and other scientific projects.
Faculty members of the Department are well-known experts, researchers and lawyers, recognized in the professional community, with extensive practical experience. Thus, among our teachers there is an expert, a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Arbitration Court of the Moscow District, a member of the Expert Council of the Federal Tax Service of Russia on the improvement of the practice of application of insolvency (bankruptcy) legislation, Professor G.F. Ruchkina, Head of the Service and Legal Department of the Contract and Legal Department of the Ministry of Interior of Russia, Colonel of the Internal Affairs Service, Professor V.N. Tkachev, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Committee on Civil and Criminal Law, Arbitration and Procedural Legislation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Professor O.A. Ruzakova, Director of the cooperation program with the University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne Christophe Samuel Hutchinson.

Scientific and student club "Civilist" under the leadership of the faculty of the Department, PhD, Associate Professor E.A. Sviridova and Senior Lecturer E.S. Yakimova. The club was created to increase students' interest in topical issues of civil law, formation of students' positively oriented legal consciousness, legal culture in law, as well as the formation of value orientations and legal attitudes, including respect for the system of legal norms in force in society, orientation in everyday life and professional activity to conscious compliance with the requirements of laws, pursuit of their realization.
