The Department of International and Public Law is an organizational part of the structure of the Faculty of Law of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, formed because of the reorganization of FinU faculties and departments, which was completed on February 1, 2024.
The Department of International and Public Law was established to carry out the educational process, educational, methodological and research work, training, and advanced training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in accordance with the goals of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Since the Department was created as a result of the FinU reorganization, it is a continuation of the history of the Department of International and Public Law, and it continues the development of the FinU Faculty of Law as part of the disciplines taught by the faculty of the Department.
The mission of the Department is to provide high quality educational services and development of domestic science in international and public law.

The Department teaches 128 academic disciplines, including: arbitration practice of dispute resolution in financial control, protection of the rights of citizens and legal entities in public law relations, criminology, international financial, economic and sports law, convergence of law in tax legislation, constitutional control of international economic relations, legal regulation money circulation, information technologies in the financial sector, legal and ethical problems of artificial intelligence, the law of international economic treaties and many others (the list of disciplines assigned to the Department of International and Public Law was approved by the Order of the Rector of the Financial University dated July 06, 2020, ex. No. 0380 (Appendix No. 13).
The study of these disciplines is necessary for the student to become a qualified lawyer in demand in the legal services market, who knows the international foundations of Russian law, the specifics of control and supervisory activities in the Russian Federation, the specifics of constitutional, administrative, tax and financial law, who is able to protect the rights of citizens and legal entities, take direct part in arbitration and civil proceedings, qualify offenses and crimes. It is correct from a legal point of view to apply new financial technologies in the banking, financial and business spheres.
The disciplines studied within the framework of the Department are complex, but incredibly interesting. They are taught by qualified faculty members, associate professors, professors, many of whom have many years of experience in legal practice and judicial claims work.
