Anton Siluanov: Tasks of President Be Fulfilled without Violating Budget Balance

On March 22, 2024, Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Dean of the Faculty of Finance, Honorary Professor of the FinU, delivered a lecture for students, faculty and staff of the FinU. The topic of the meeting was Russia’s financial policy.

Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, welcomed the Head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, noting his significant personal contribution to the development of FinU scientific and educational activities.

During the lecture, Anton Siluanov spoke about modern challenges to the economy and methods of solving them. The Minister of Finance emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between fiscal and monetary policy,

“The Russian financial system is successfully coping with challenges and constraints, due to budget rules and principles that underlie financial stability.”

Speaking about the key projects of the Ministry, Anton Siluanov stressed that all the tasks set by the President of the Russian Federation will be fulfilled without disturbing the budget balance.  The Minister of Finance paid special attention to issues of ensuring the country’s technological sovereignty, investments in human capital and support for social initiatives.

After the lecture, students asked Anton Siluanov questions about the development of financial culture, investment tools and improving the investment climate.
