On March 19, 2024, Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, Chairman of the Public Council at the Federal Tax Service of Russia, took part in an expanded meeting of the Board of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.

During the meeting, the Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, Daniil Egorov, summed up the work of the Service for 2023 and spoke about the most significant achievements since the beginning of 2024, especially noting the work of the department on filling the budget and improving the quality of tax administration. Speaking about the promising areas of the Service’s activity, Daniil Egorov stressed that the Federal Tax Service continues its technological transformation and develops new solutions and tools for taxpayers.

In turn, Stanislav Prokofiev thanked the experts of the Public Council under the Federal Tax Service of Russia for their effective work and highlighted its most significant achievements as an institution of sustainable socio-economic development of the country, especially noting the Council’s growing authority in the professional community. “We have risen in the ranking of public councils under federal executive authorities, moving to an advanced level,” explained the Chairman of the Public Council.

In his speech, Stanislav Prokofiev outlined the tasks facing the Public Council at the Federal Tax Service, the most important of which is to build a dialogue with taxpayers of various categories, which will contribute to receiving feedback on the Federal Tax Service’s work and its improvement.  

The Chairman of the Public Council also recalled that in order to achieve the country’s national development goals, the professional community will have to work on large-scale projects to implement the Message of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly.

The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on the Budget and Financial Markets Anatoly Artamonov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes Andrey Makarov, Deputy Finance Minister of Russia Alexey Sazanov, Deputy Head of Rosfinmonitoring German Neglyad and Acting Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Ruslan Davydov.
