The meeting, dedicated to the 74th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia, was organized by the International Students and Faculty Department.
Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, recorded a video message to the festival guests. Welcoming the participants, Stanislav Prokofiev noted that Russia and Vietnam have long-term fruitful cooperation in education and training.
“For more than 70 years, thousands of Vietnamese students have studied at our University. Notable alumni of the FinU include former Vietnamese Finance Minister Ho Te and former Vietnamese Deputy Finance Minister Nguyen Cong Nghiep. FinU highly appreciates cooperation with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and is ready to continue to actively develop cooperation in promising areas in science, education, and culture,”
Stanislav Prokofiev said.
Alexander Kozharinov, Vice-Rector for Social Work and Extracurricular Activities at the FinU, addressed the participants and guests of the meeting with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he noted that international cultural events are traditionally held at the University, which lay the foundation for further development of cooperation between specialists of the countries.
In turn, the Counselor of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Doan Hai, stressed the importance of establishing international relations in education and expressed readiness to support future projects aimed at strengthening intercultural communications.
The discussion of cooperation areas continued during a meeting of representatives of the FinU administration, the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, representatives of Vietnamese universities and the business community. The parties paid special attention to the possibilities of implementing international projects and events, strengthening ties in science and education in general.
The guests of the event viewed an interactive poster exhibition dedicated to the culture and traditions of Vietnam, took part in creative workshops, and also visited a virtual tour and learnt more about the iconic sights of the country.
The program of the event was completed by a festive concert prepared by creative teams and studios of the FinU, as well as activists from other universities in Russia.
