On March 5, 2024, the Federal Tax Service held a regular meeting of the Public Council under the Federal Tax Service of Russia, chaired by Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU. As part of the event, the work results of the Federal Tax Service of Russia were summed up and the most significant achievements of the Public Council as an institution for sustainable socio-economic development of the country were noted.

Stanislav Prokofiev, Chairman of the Public Council under the Federal Tax Service of Russia, summed up the results of the council's work over the past year, noting its effective work, "We have risen in the ranking of public councils under federal executive authorities, moving to an advanced level. I suggest that we do not stop there. The working groups need to work harder. I will ask the chairmen to involve the participants of the working groups in their activities, to discuss topical issues on their own, without expecting the curators of the working groups to organize from the Federal Tax Service of Russia." Stanislav Prokofiev also noted the need to cover the events of the Public Council in the specialized journal of the Federal Tax Service of Russia "Tax Policy and Practice" and its Internet resources in order to obtain a comprehensive and objective response from both taxpayers and regional tax authorities.

During the meeting, the Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, Daniil Egorov, summed up the work of the Service for 2023 and spoke about the most significant achievements of the department.

Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, highly appreciated the work of the tax authorities in building open and trusting relations with both business and citizens.  Speaking about the work of the Public Council, he appreciated such an approach as the creation of working groups, which allows to solve various issues more effectively.

On behalf of the FinU, Vadim Zasko, Dean of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis, took part in the meeting of the Public Council at the Federal Tax Service of Russia, who invited those present to attend the International Tax Forum of the FinU which will be held on April 3 this year.

The Public Council under the Federal Tax Service of Russia was created to develop proposals and initiatives in tax administration and unites representatives of science, education, art and the public environment.
