On February 20, 2024, the State Duma hosted a dedication ceremony for the membership of the Practice-oriented Student Club of the FinU “Self-Government beyond Borders”, whose participants try their hand as public assistants, support socially significant projects and practice in legislative and executive authorities. The event was held as part of the cooperation agreement concluded between the FinU and the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government.

Alexey Didenko, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government, welcomed the participants of the ceremony, noting the importance of interaction with the academic community in order to improve the quality of training of a new generation of highly qualified specialists in public administration.

The students were also congratulated by Pavel Abramov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Magomet Yandiev, deputy of the Moscow City Duma, Alexander Belyaev, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Khoroshevsky district of Moscow, and Igor Babichev, head of the staff of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government.  Addressing the students, the experts stressed that the club opens up great prospects for students who want to develop in self-government and politics, and expressed their willingness to support new joint projects.

In a solemn atmosphere, new members of the club – FinU students Danil Bobrovnikov, Elvira Borisova, Roman Pak, Arseniy Sudorgin and Alexey Yakubov – were presented with award plaques confirming their status, as well as memorable gifts – the publication of the book “More Expensive than Life”.

During the ceremony, the head of the Student Club “Self-Government beyond Borders” Lyubov Adamskaya noted that candidates for club members go through a difficult path, showing themselves in studies, science, professional activities and volunteering, as well as launching their own projects on the basis of the club.
