On February 11, 2024, an Open Doors Day was held at the FinU, where all faculties, bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s degree academic programs, as well as projects in pre-university training and advanced training were presented.

The meeting was opened by Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, who outlined the reasons for entering the FinU – the key features that distinguish it from other top universities.

“FinU is not only the largest economic university in our country, but also the largest university training specialists in economics and finance in Europe, a unique community of successful people united by a common past and present.  Over the FinU history, more than a million highly qualified specialists in economics, finance and management have graduated.  Our University has trained 6 finance ministers and many other outstanding people. Today, the heads of the country’s largest banks are our alumni.  Moreover, our students have a unique opportunity to attend meetings at a very high government level. Over the past six months, our students have already met twice with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, and were able to personally communicate with him,” said the Rector.

Speaking about the opportunities that the University provides to its students, Stanislav Prokofiev stressed that FinU forms new trends in financial and economic education and, following lifelong learning, trains new types of specialists who can think outside the box and use high-tech and digital tools,

“In modern conditions, young professionals need not only specialized knowledge, but also communication and digital skills.  Responding to this market demand, FinU has launched a new educational model – a unique project of a double-degree diploma that will open up new career opportunities for you upon graduation,” the Rector addressed future applicants.

FinU, as a leader of financial and economic education, forms the skills and mindset of students of economic specialties throughout the country, as well as develops skills in other areas through collaborations with Russian universities - leaders in their subject area,

“For the 2024 admission year, we are opening 6 double-degree educational programs with leading universities in Russia, including the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, GITIS and the State University of Land Use Planning,” Stanislav Prokofiev said.

Following the concept of academic leadership, FinU develops unique training courses and programs of continuing education for students. “FinU implements a unique course on Digital Finance, where we teach design thinking and train mathematical economists who speak the R programming language, which is in demand for solving specific functional tasks in business and public service,” Stanislav Prokofiev noted.
