On December 28, 2023, the Head of the Federal Tax Service, an alumnus of the FinU, Daniil Egorov, delivered a lecture for FinU students as part of the International Russia EXPO in Moscow at VDNH. The Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia spoke about new technologies in the Russian tax system and ways to optimize its work. Daniil Egorov paid special attention to modern digital services that make communication between citizens and businesses with the Federal Tax Service of Russia easier and more convenient.

Speaking about the principles of interaction with taxpayers, Daniil Egorov noted the importance of developing interactive services, reducing paper document flow and contactless service. The Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia also stressed the importance of a feedback mechanism for optimizing the operation of services in accordance with user requests and expectations. As an example, Daniil Egorov told the students about the development of the My Tax application – the main tool for interaction between the self-employed and the tax authority – and in an interactive format showed how to register in the application, control income and check tax accruals.

A significant topic of the lecture was also working with big data, digitalization and business process analysis. Daniil Egorov stressed that it is data analysis that allows you to create a competitive advantage for business, which is why it is so important to instill a culture of working with data and develop awareness for making managerial decisions.

"The data enable us to make decisions about the development of society and identify the most significant trends," the Head of the Service said.

After the lecture, the participants of the meeting asked Daniil Egorov questions about the further development of the trend towards digital transformation and the mechanisms for the formation of different tax regimes. Summing up the meeting, the Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia once again stressed the importance of building trusting relationships with taxpayers and the creation of a transparent and understandable work model.

Everyone can visit the Russia EXPO, and a wide range of cultural, entertainment, educational and business programs are planned for the entire period of its operation. Every day until April 12, 2024, the guests of the exhibition-forum will learn about the most important achievements of the country in a face-to-face dialogue with the heads of different regions, leaders of economic sectors, representatives of the expert and academic community.
