FinU Expands Partnerships with Abkhazian Leading Universities

On December 20, 2023, Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, and Alkhas Kvitsinia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Abkhazia, held a working meeting. The agenda included issues of cooperation in education and science. Renad Benia, the Second Secretary of the Embassy, also took part in the negotiations.

Stanislav Prokofiev, welcoming the guests, stressed the importance of forming and developing international academic relations, and also noted the importance of working with foreign students.

The Rector noted that more than 180 students from Abkhazia study at the FinU. Throughout their studies at the University, the children actively participate in the extracurricular activities of the University, trying themselves in social and creative activities.

In turn, Alkhas Kvitsinia expressed gratitude for the students’ support not only in their studies, but also in their social life, and also expressed hope for further cooperation and the launch of joint projects in science and education.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the development of academic exchange programs between the FinU  and the Abkhazian State University. Also during the visit, the delegation representatives visited the FinU Museum.

Traditionally, FinU pays great attention to the formation and development of partnerships with leading educational organizations and work with foreign students. In 2023, more than 1,000 young people from 61 countries of the world became FinU students.
