On December 12, 2023, representatives of the Association of Arab Universities and the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly paid an official visit to the FinU.
During the visit, negotiations were held with the FinU administration and the Faculty of International Economic Relations, during which the parties expressed their mutual desire to develop cooperation in the field of science and education. In particular, Professor Firas Alhinnawi, the first Vice-Rector of Damascus University, in his speech expressed interest in conducting joint research in AI and Islamic banking, and Dr. Yusuf Zeinal, chairman of the Alumni Association of Russian and Soviet Union Universities in Bahrain, offered his assistance in establishing partnerships with leading educational organizations in his country.
During the visit, the delegation also visited the FinU Museum, where they learned more about the exhibitions devoted to FinU history and the financial system of Russia. The guests were particularly interested in the unique collection of “war money” donated to the Museum by the FinU Rector, Professor Stanislav Prokofiev.
The discussion of joint initiatives with representatives of Association of Arab Universities and the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly continued on December 13 at the I International Catherine Forum dedicated to the 260th anniversary of the Catherine’s Manifesto 1763 inviting foreigners to settle in Russia.
