On December 1, 2023, FinU summed up the results of the large-scale creative festival “My Homeland: Big and Small”, which was attended by more than 200 students from 60 countries of the world.

Representatives of 10 Russian universities competed in dance, music, art and literary competitions. The winners and prize-winners of the competition program performed on the stage of the FinU Nobel Hall.

The festive program dedicated to the International Students’ Day was opened by Yulia Korol, Deputy Vice-Rector for Social and Extracurricular Activities at the FinU. In her opening remarks, she noted the importance of supporting students' creative projects, as well as the importance of strengthening and developing intercultural communications: international cultural festivals are traditionally held at the University, which lay the foundation for further interaction between specialists from different countries.

Creative teams and activists of the FinU, as well as representatives of partner universities performed for the gala concert guests: the children performed songs and dances of the peoples of Russia and the world, recited poems.

The festive program was completed by a solemn awarding ceremony for the authors of socio-cultural projects aimed at promoting cultural values among young people, developing patriotic education, preserving historical and cultural heritage, and creatively expressing national identity.

As part of the festival “My Homeland: Big and Small”, FinU hosted thematic celebrations dedicated to the culture, traditions and customs of different countries, as well as culinary duels, the participants of which tasted the national dishes of the peoples of the world.
