The results of a prestigious international study – the global ESG university ranking
QS Sustainability Rankings 2024
- have been published. For the first time, FinU has overcome strict selection and entered the published list of the world’s leading universities, evaluated by their contribution to the achievement of the UN global Sustainable Development Goals, with an excellent result –
top 10
among Russian universities implementing the best practices of sustainable development!
In 2024, 1,397 universities applied to participate in the QS Sustainability Rankings study, which is twice as many as last year.
FinU is ranked in the
800+
interval group of the world ranking.
There are 27 universities in the list of Russian participating universities, and FinU is ranked
10th
.
QS analysts noted
the FinU faculty’s contribution
to solving the problems of achieving global economic growth and employment, providing opportunities for quality education, reducing all types and forms of inequality, the quality of scientific research on sustainable development and combating climate change, clean energy importance.
FinU leading positions of the QS Sustainability Rankings 2024
are a high level of implementation of the concept of continuing education and the widest employment and employment opportunities that allow our alumni to successfully find high-paying jobs; this is the quality of educational programs and courses related to ESG issues; these are ongoing efforts in responsible resource consumption, energy conservation, and water consumption reduction, waste recycling.
Of particular importance
for the overall ranking result is the full support that our university provides to people with disabilities in obtaining the right to education.

Methodology of the QS Sustainability Rankings
Data on the activities of universities are ranked as part of criteria groups that directly or indirectly affect environmental, economic and social issues.
Science and Research
includes the University’s influence on the generation, accumulation and transmission of scientific knowledge in order to solve the global challenges facing humanity.
Management
implies resource management and the University’s contribution to affordable education.
Impact
is the influence
that the university has on solving social issues.
Education
is the training of qualified personnel in such industries related to achieving sustainable development.
