FinU and Liaodong University to Launch Joint Research and Educational Projects

On November 30, 2023, a working meeting was held between the FinU administration and the delegation of Liaodong University, a comprehensive research university of the People’s Republic of China. The agenda of the event included issues of developing cooperation in science and education.

Opening the meeting, Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector, noted the importance of forming and deepening research ties with leading universities in China, “The cooperation development with Chinese universities is one of the FinU priorities in international activities. We are expanding the range of areas of cooperation not only with the capital’s educational organizations, but also with leading universities in the country’s regions.”

Stanislav Prokofiev also added that the university pays great attention to the formation and development of educational, scientific and cultural ties between Russia and China: FinU students are interested in the history and culture of the country, more than 600 students study Chinese, in addition, more than 150 students from China study at the FinU.  

In turn, the Rector of Liaodong University, Ma Dianjong, noted the importance of cooperation in the educational sphere as a driver of international relations’ development and expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive support to new joint projects.

During the negotiations, such areas of cooperation as the development of double degree programs in bachelor’s and master’s degrees, academic exchange, and the launch of international research projects were highlighted.

During the visit to the FinU, representatives of the Liaodong University delegation held talks with the administration of the Faculty of International Economic Relations. The guests also visited the FinU Museum o, where they learnt more about the exposition dedicated to the history of the Russian financial system development. ​
