Program description

The master's program “Sociology of Management" trains highly qualified sociologists:

  • With deep knowledge and understanding of the basics of sociological theory and methods of sociological research;
  • Who are able to conduct research, analyze and predict modern management systems and practices, as well as a wide range of processes and phenomena of the organizational environment;
  • Who are able to work in the modern conditions of the information society and the digital economy.

A distinctive feature of the program is that it is practice-oriented. Interactive and computer learning technologies are widely used in the process of studying the compulsory disciplines of the program.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to

  • Use effective methods and technologies of social analysis of the operational and strategic situation at the enterprise, organization, territory, and industry.
  • Optimize management structures taking into account social capital and the quality of human potential in the enterprise, organization, territory, and industry.
  • Create management teams to implement strategic development objectives. Resolve corporate social conflicts and conflicts of interest.
  • Build communication systems and information flows in the organization for diagnostics, forecasting, design, modeling, and programming of strategic development.
  • Apply special technologies to study territorial and industry markets, create a corporate image and build strategic relationships with customers.
  • Possess sociological tools for assessing and forecasting social risks, social engineering, and programming.

Organization of Sociological Research of Management Systems

Within the framework of the discipline, the fundamental aspects and methods of organizing sociological research are studied.

Social Management of Public Opinion

Within the framework of the discipline, students study the main categories and concepts related to the public opinion of large and small social groups in modern conditions.

Management of the Strategic Development System and its Effectiveness

Within the framework of the discipline, theoretical and methodological aspects of effective activity on a strategic and tactical scale are studied.

Monitoring of the Labor Market and Future Professions

Within the framework of the discipline, students study tools and practical cases aimed at forming the types of professional activities of graduates.

Motivation of Effective Management Activities

Within the framework of the discipline, students study the main theoretical concepts of motivation, practical issues of the motivational side of managerial activities are studied.

Digital Sociology in Economics and Finance

Within the framework of the discipline, students study cases and practical tasks related to the use of digital tools in the economic sphere.
