We train specialists in the field of information technology, information security in automated systems, and construction of complex financial models, including those based on big data processing. Our mission is to be the leading scientific-educational and project-consulting center in the field of analytical and information technologies, to promote the prestige of the Financial University.

The results of research projects are actively used in the educational process both at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology and at other faculties of the University, providing alumni with modern tools of analytics and information technologies, which are in demand in financial and credit institutions, and in fintech companies.

Employment Opportunities

The level of education of alumni of Business Informatics ensures their employment in various organizations in information business. The field of application of alumni of Business Informatics is a consultant in business process reengineering, an IT manager, an IT architect, an IT project manager, a specialist in information systems implementation.

The alumni of Applied Computer Science work in the departments of companies and organizations responsible for the development and operation of corporate information systems, as system integrators, developers and providers of applied solutions and information services and services based on them.

Alumni of Applied Mathematics and Informatics will find their place in financial analysis, risk management, actuarial (insurance) activities, consulting and, in general, in all areas of economics and finance where the use of mathematical and new information technologies is required.

Alumni of the Information Security specialization are sought after in structures that ensure the information security of automated financial and banking systems of organizations of any form of ownership, such as banks, insurance companies, state-owned enterprises. Field of activity: specialist in information protection in automated systems, specialist in security of computer systems and networks, specialist in automation of information and analytical activities in the field of security.
