About the department

Digitalization is used in all spheres of our life and determines the main directions of development of both individual companies and the economy.

Digital transformation is one of the national development goals of the Russian Federation until 2030. President Vladimir Putin, addressing the Federal Assembly, noted that Russia must develop standards and technologies of the future, including those in AI and digital technologies. As a result, the share of socially significant mass services provided electronically should increase to 95%.

Digital business transformation is a prerequisite for maintaining competitiveness and creating opportunities for further growth in the long term. However, an ineffective digital transformation strategy will not only fail to bring about positive changes in the business, it may even destroy it.

Therefore, it is crucial that the digital transformation and digitization of individual areas of the company be carried out by professionals who are deeply involved in the theoretical aspects of the problem and have practical skills in implementing and managing digital projects in real business processes.

The PSB Department was established on November 8, 2021 on the initiative of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and PJSC Promsvyazbank. The main goal of the Department is to train professionals to ensure the digital transformation of the Russian economy.

The Department’s training programs combine theoretical scientific research in digitalization with the acquisition of key practical skills for implementing digital transformation in various sectors of the economy. This approach allows to train highly qualified personnel in digital business transformation and provides alumni with an advantage in all markets based on the introduction and development of innovative activities, as well as provides an opportunity to evaluate the practical application of innovations in the development of such areas as economy, science and society.

PJSC Promsvyazbank (PSB) is a Russian bank established in 1995. It is headquartered in Moscow.

PSB is included in the list of systemically important credit institutions of the Bank of Russia, and is also among the top 10 banks in the country in terms of assets.

Since 2019, PSB has been a support bank for operations under state defense orders and large government contracts.

By the end of 2020, the bank's network will consist of about 300 sales outlets in Russia.
