About the department

From July 1, 2020, according to Order № 0226 of 09.04.2020 “On Optimizing the Structure of Faculties and Departments of the Financial University”, the Department of Information Security was established. Currently, the Department offers the degree in Information Security with a concentration in Security of Automated Systems in the Financial and Banking Sector, and the master’s degree program in Information Security of Financial and Credit Organizations.

Goals and objectives of the Department

The main goals and objectives of the Department for the next five years are to actively participate in the development of the Financial University as an innovative higher educational institution and in the future as a world-class research university, to create an authoritative scientific school, as well as to train highly qualified personnel for various economic, financial and other structures within a multi-level education system.

All teaching members of the Department have significant experience in the field of information security.

The staff of the Department works in the following areas:

• educational and methodological activities;
• scientific research;
• bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate studies;
• research work of students;
• pre-university training;
• introduction of modern hardware and software and technical means of information protection in the educational process.
