The history of the development of the department:
The Department was created for the purpose of thorough practical training of highly professional personnel with in-depth skills in financial management, use of treasury technologies and tools in the public and corporate sectors of the economy, analysis and investment decision-making, organization of the budget process, state control in the financial and budgetary sphere, internal financial audit, liquidity management of digital financial assets and digital currency.
The main strategic goal of the Department’s development is determined by the mission and strategy of the University and consists in the formation of a scientific, research, educational, methodological center on the basis of the Department, which will be one of the leading structural divisions of the FinU and will make a theoretical and practical contribution to the targeted education of highly professional, practice-oriented personnel in financial control and treasury, with deep professional knowledge, high organizational skills, communication skills and social skills aimed at achieving success. The Department of Financial Control and Treasury aims to generate and disseminate new knowledge in corporate and public treasury, to create and apply advanced digital financial management tools, and to develop and implement innovative approaches to the organization of financial control.

The Department of Financial Control and Treasury is a graduating department.
The faculty of the Department ensures the implementation of the educational program for the preparation of bachelor’s degree in economics, profile “State Financial Control”, “Treasury Business”. The Department implements the master’s degree program “Financial Controlling”.
Partners of the Department:
Faculty of the department conduct practical training of students in the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Federal Treasury, the Federal Treasury Office for the City of Moscow, the Control and Accounts Chamber of the City of Moscow, the Moscow City Finance Department, and other financial and control bodies.
As part of the implementation of a practical approach to the educational process, a professional lecture series is held on a regular basis. Lectures on the Problems of State Control (Supervision), State Financial Control and Treasury, Innovative Tools of Digital Finance Management are delivered by auditors, heads of departments and specialists of control and accounting and financial authorities. Faculty of the Department organize educational and career-oriented excursions for students of the profile “State Financial Control”, “Treasury Business” to public authorities and control bodies, financial institutions.
