The Heritage Program of Qatar’s participation in the SPIEF 2021 includes partnership agreements, educational and cultural projects program with the Financial University.

On June 5, 2021, Financial University took part in the Qatar Legacy Handover Ceremony at the Qatar Pavilion during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2021.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al Thani, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation, Mr. Rashid bin Majid Awad Al Suwaidi, First Secretary Counselor of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Russian Federation, Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation, Diana Charmadova, General, Director of the Qatari-Russian Center for Cooperation (QRCC).

Alexander Linnikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, joined the event on behalf of the Financial University.

It is fundamentally essential for the Delegation of Qatar that the material component of the Pavilion after the closure of SPIEF-2021 will get a "second life". Therefore, as part of the Heritage Program, the material resources of the pavilion (furniture and plants) were donated to the Financial University.

From the strategic point of view, the succession program approach is consistent with national and international goals, such as the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations General Assembly that are to be achieved by 2030.
