The 24th International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is now taking place in Saint Petersburg. Alexander Linnikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, represents the delegation of the Financial University.

2021 was declared the Year of Science and Technology in Russia. One of its priorities is to improve the quality of education and popularise science. That is why international cooperation in the field of education, science and culture will be among the key topics discussed at the Forum.

It should be noted that Qatar is participating in SPIEF-2021 as a guest country. During the high-level talks, a separate vector of cross-cultural interaction between the Russian delegation and the representatives of Qatar will be pointed at the exchange of experience in education and science. Education is one of the main areas of Qatar’s strategic development until 2030 (Qatar National Vision 2030). According to this program, Qatar has set the goal to establish a high-quality educational system.

On the final day of SPIEF 2021, June 5, the main focus will be on the youth agenda. The best practices in identifying the most significant students' social projects, including charity and environmental projects, will be shared.

The key event of the day will be a business breakfast, during which a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed between the Financial University and Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Qatar). The agreement will foster the development of new joint educational projects and scientific initiatives between the universities and will be a new milestone in the relations between the two countries.

An equally important event on this day will be the ceremonial donation of material resources from the Qatar Pavilion to the Financial University as part of the sustainable development program adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.
