On May 21, 2021, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Russian Federation Eitvydas Bajarūnas paid an official visit to the Financial University. 

Rector Prof. Mikhail Eskindarov and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Alexander Linnikov greeted the guests and elaborated on the main activities of the Financial University. 

During the welcoming speech, the Vice-Rector elaborated on the main directions of the university’s activities, noting its key achievements. He also mentioned numerous double-degree diploma programs and international projects implemented at the Financial University.

"We understand that science is based on open cooperation between countries and universities. That is why it is so important to continue developing interaction between Lithuania and Russia", says Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Russian Federation Eitvydas Bajarūnas.

Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Andrey Rementsov, 

Head of the International Relations Department Lilia Prikhodko, Head of the International Students and Faculty Department Anatoly Kislyakov, and Assistant Professor of the Department of Risk Analysis and Economic Security Igoris Krzherchkovskis also took part in the meeting.

At the end of the negotiations, the parties underlined the main areas for further interaction and expressed mutual interest in the development of such cooperation.

Finally, the guests visited the Rector’s floor, where they could learn more about the history of the Financial University, its alumni and outstanding faculty members. In the end, they had a tour of the Museum of Finance, during which they visited an exhibition dedicated to the history of money circulation in Russia.
