On March 22, 2021, the third meeting of the “Top Professionals” series took place online at the Financial University.
The “Top Professionals” series is organised by the International Students and Faculty Department to help foreign students studying at the Financial University understand what awaits them in the labor market after graduation, how to prepare successfully for it, and which professional and personal competencies should be developed now.
This time Laura Koreneva, a FinU alumnus from the Faculty of the International Economic Relations, the owner of beauty salon "Beauty Bistro", became a guest speaker.
In the course of her presentation, the speaker concisely explained the trajectory of her career, sharing her own perspectives on how to make the best of what the university offers.
"At the university, the period of adaptation is of crucial importance as then we learn to communicate with people, learn to be a team and make new contacts. It is important to keep these skills throughout your whole life", says Laura Koreneva.
In addition, Laura Koreneva drew several conclusions from her career experience:
– Grasp any knowledge; – Practice all the time; – Try to develop in new areas; – Know yourself; – Do not lose your inner motivation and discipline.
At the end of the meeting, the speaker responded enthusiastically to all questions of the students.
The International Students and Faculty Department traditionally received positive feedback from students, which confirms students' never-ending interest in this project!
