April 3, 2021 at 11.50, the Faculty of Economics and Business (concentration: "Economics and Finance of the Fuel and Energy Complex") will host a master class by VYGON Consulting entitled "Features and State Regulation of Pricing on the Russian Motor Fuel Market".
Why did oil prices fall on the world market in 2020 but did not in Russia? Already for 4 months, since the beginning of December, Russian oil quotas on the Saint Petersburg Stock Exchange have increased by 25%, retail prices in European countries have also increased, and Russian petrol prices have increased by only 2.5%. How do prices for petroleum products form in Russia? Do they account for a larger part of taxes? And what is the role of the state in the current pricing model?
These and many other issues will be discussed at the masterclass by Sergey Yezhov, Chief Economist at VYGON Consulting, Doctor of Economics. CV.
The event is supported by the FinU Department of Employment and Career Development in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Business.
