On 18 March 2021, Financial University hosted a reception on the occasion of the visit of Minister-Counsellor and Trade Representative of the Embassy of Mongolia in the Russian Federation Khasar Danaazhav with his wife, Doctor of Education, Professor Tsogt Narantsetseg.
In 2021 Russia and Mongolia celebrate the 100th anniversary since the establishment of Russian-Mongolian diplomatic relations: the first legal foundations of bilateral cooperation between the two countries were laid on November 5, 1921.
Rector Prof. Mikhail Eskindarov opened the meeting and welcomed the guests.
Welcome to the Financial University! We are always happy to strengthen and expand our international relations with Mongolian organisations. Today I want to thank the representatives of the Mongolian People’s Republic for their interest and active assistance in developing cooperation
Currently, there are two cooperation agreements between the Financial University and the Mongolian side:
– Cooperation Agreement with the University of Finance and Economics in Ulaanbaatar (until 2024);
– Cooperation Agreement with the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (until 2024).
In addition, there are 73 students from Mongolia who are studying at the Financial University at the present moment. It should be noted that they are highly successful in their studies and scientific activities and also make a significant contribution to the social and cultural life of the University.
On April 26, 2019, a solemn meeting of FinU alumni was held at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Financial University. The main goal of the cooperation is to strengthen partnership, trade and economic relations between Mongolia and Russia.
Minister-Counsellor and Trade Representative of the Embassy of Mongolia in the Russian Federation Khasar Danaazhav said, "Today there is a topical and important question related to the possibility of cooperation in organising a joint scientific discussion on the topic of bilateral trade and economic cooperation of Russia and Mongolia".
During the meeting, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Alexander Linnikov greeted his colleagues, gave a tour of the FinU and the Museum of Finance. Deputies Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Maksim Kotelnikov and Andrey Rementsov also participated in the event.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation and also outlined further steps to develop fruitful interaction.
