On February 20, 2021 the second meeting of the “Top Professionals” series of lectures was broadcast on the Youtube platform and was available not only for students of the Financial University, but also for foreign applicants, school and college students.
The FinU Career Guidance Laboratory also participated in the event.
This time, Anton Pipko, an alumni of the International Economic Relations Faculty, the class of 2013, gave a talk on his professional experiences.
Mr Pipko started his career in 2010 at the Kempinski International Hotel Group as an evening accountant, and currently Mr Pipko is a Senior Consultant at the Deloitte Finance Strategy. Since 2015, he has been working at a Deloitte office in London. He pays special attention to combining his professional and family life.
During the presentation, the speaker focused on his career trajectory, sharing his own perspectives on how to make the most of the opportunities offered by the university. Mr Pipko pays special importance to combining one’s professional and personal needs, pointing out that this is the key to success!
In addition, Mr Pipko drew several conclusions from his own career experience:
1. Start thinking about your career ahead of time: – Meet people who can share their experiences; – Take part in useful internships; – Avoid the herd mentality. – In case of doubt, action always beats inaction. You never try, you never know.
2. Pay attention to your words and actions, they can affect your future.
3. Always plan your next move and never be scared of progress.
At the end of the meeting, the speaker responded enthusiastically to the questions asked by students.
Traditionally, the International Students and Faculty Department received a high level of feedback from students, which indicates that the project is of interest to the audience.
