In the framework of the conference, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Andrey Rementsov took part in the meeting of the Board of the Association of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature.

The meeting was chaired by President of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tolstoy.

The event was attended by about 150 philologists and linguists from 17 Russian cities and 12 countries of the world, representatives from the federal universities, foreign universities, and specialised organisations engaged in teaching, studying and promoting the Russian language outside Russia.

During the conference there were meetings and discussions on integrating foreign students into the Russian culture in conditions of multifaceted Russian literature.

Innovative methods and practices of teaching Russian as a foreign language were also considered, including in the format of social networks and gaming technologies. In addition, the colleagues discussed the functioning, regulation and improvement of the current systems of linguistic and didactic testing in Russia and abroad.
