On February 1, 2021, Financial University joined a working session with IPR MEDIA and the Saint Petersburg State University.
Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Andrey Rementsov and Dean of the Pre-University Training Faculty Svetlana Morokhina attended the meeting on behalf of the Financial University.
IPR MEDIA representatives including Director General Natalia Ivanova, Director of Development and Sales Vita Kutuyeva and Director of the Language Testing Centre at the Saint Petersburg State University Dmitry Ptyushkin joined the meeting.
IPR MEDIA is a major developer of digital educational resources, including a unique digital educational platform "Russian as a Foreign Language". It is the largest multimedia electronic library for teaching Russian as a Foreign Language. The e-library collection includes various textbooks, educational videos, audios, lesson plans and fiction.
During the meeting, the participants discussed joint educational projects that could potentially improve the quality of training at the FinU Pre-University Training Faculty.
As a result, it was decided to hold final examinations to certify B1 level of FinU foreign students studying at the Pre-University Training Faculty. The finals will be organised with the help of the IPR MEDIA platform which is based on the materials developed by the Saint Petersburg State University. The FinU teaching staff will provide expert support during the session.
Moreover, the parties agreed to establish a joint preparatory program for foreign applicants willing to enter Russian higher educational institutions. The program will consist of 3 units: General Russian Course taught by the Language Testing Centre, Scientific Style of Speech, and basic disciplines offered by the FinU Pre-University Training Faculty.
