Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Alexander Linnikov and Head of the Department for International Cooperation Lilia Prikhodko met with Vladimir Kuznetsov, Director of the United Nations Information Centre on December 24, 2020.

Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of joining the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) program by the Financial University. 

The program is open to all higher education institutions which can award degrees or their equivalent, as well as research institutions. 

The objectives of the initiative are:
1. To establish contacts among higher educational institutions  throughout the world and to promote their cooperation with the United Nations;
2. To provide a platform where university students, academics and researchers can connect and share ideas, research and resources to further the Sustainable Development Goals and other UN mandates;
3. To become a significant focal point for discussing ideas and proposals related to the United Nations mandate;
4. To ensure that the international community harnesses the energy and innovation of young people and the research community in service to humanity.
