November 9, 2020, Financial University met with representatives of the Hamad bin Khalifa University and the Qatar-Russia Foundation.

Hamad bin Khalifa University is one of the largest universities in the Middle East, with over 16,000 students. The University has five colleges offering about 17 educational programs. 

The University is also a member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, which has three national research institutes, the Centre for Executive Education and the Press Centre.

On behalf of the Financial University, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Maxim Kotelnikov welcomed the participants, stressing the importance of the partnership between Qatar and Russia in the field of science and education.

Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office Alexey Sereda also joined the meeting and dwelled on the activities of the Financial University.

Deputy Dean for International Cooperation Khvicha Kharchilava told his colleagues about the activities of the Faculty of Economics and Business and noted that one of the most important tasks of cooperation is the development of joint educational programs, faculty and student exchange programs.

Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed areas of scientific cooperation, including research in cryptocurrency and Islamic finance. Representatives of the Hamad Bin Khalifa University also expressed interest in academic exchange programs.
