November 9, 2020, Financial University participated in the scientific and practical conference "Export of Education as the Basis for Economic Development of the Region: International and Russian Experience", which took place online on the platforms of the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov and the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss the best practices of promoting Russian education among foreign students, providing assistance during their stay and studies in Russia, and developing new initiatives.
On behalf of the Financial University, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Andrey Rementsov joined the round table and made a presentation entitled "Foreign Students Selection and Training; Interaction with Alumni of Soviet and Russian Universities".
The mission of the additional pre-university training is to provide a real opportunity for foreign citizens to receive the necessary level of education in Russia
During the presentation, Andrey Rementsov dwelled on the key issues of the FinU Pre-University Training Faculty, noted such world trends as the increasing demand for higher education, stronger competition between countries and universities, new technologies in education and the growing number of university branches abroad. Finally, he presented some factors influencing the choice of the country and the university to study.
The conference was also attended by heads of higher educational institutions and university branches, heads and staff of international offices and departments in charge of assisting and training foreign students, representatives of regional/federal authorities and employers, representatives of international coordinating councils and alumni associations of universities of the Russian Federation and the USSR, and representatives of embassies and mass media.
At the end of the conference, a resolution containing proposals for disseminating the best practices was prepared.
