September 15, Financial University met with the representatives of the LAB University of Applied Sciences (Finland) within the framework of developing international cooperation and academic mobility of students and staff. The LAB University of Applied Sciences has extensive experience in international cooperation in this field with a number of leading universities in the world.

The LAB University of Applied Sciences is a higher educational institution focusing on innovation, economics and business. Its strengths are closed-loop economics, design, commercialisation of innovations in the services sector. 

LAB offers bachelor’s programs in:
Tourism and hospitality;
Business administration;
Technology;
Health care and social services;
Design and visual arts.

Tourism and hospitality is one of the most sought-after areas in the field of joint educational programs (double-degree diplomas).

On behalf of the Financial University, Head of the Department for International Cooperation Lilia Prikhodko, Deputy Dean for International Cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and Business Khvicha Kharchilava, Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Professor Tatiana Rosanova and Associate Professor Anna Kosheleva participated in the negotiations.

Within the framework of the meeting, both sides signed an agreement on realising a double-degree program "International Tourism and Hospitality" for FinU students at the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The program includes the 3+1 scheme, i.e. internships at partner universities in Finland and thesis defence at the Financial University.

Some of the features and advantages of this program are a practical-oriented approach, which allows to obtain all the necessary skills in the field of tourism and hospitality to become a true professional in the modern highly competitive market.
