The Expert Council for Financial Literacy is an advisory and consultative body under the Bank of Russia. The aim of the Council is to propose a set of measures aimed at attracting attention to the problems of financial literacy and raising public awareness of the need to improve their financial knowledge.

The Council formulates proposals for developing measures and programmes to promote financial literacy and public awareness. The council works out a strategy for improving and developing the financial sphere to raise public awareness about institutions and instruments of the financial market of the Russian Federation.

The Expert Council for Financial Literacy under the Bank of Russia was joined by:

1. M. Ayrapetyan – leading researcher at the Department of “Macroeconomic Forecasting and Planning”;

2. A. Aksakov – Head of the Department of “Macroeconomic Forecasting and Planning”, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation;

3. E. Didenko, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education;

4. O. Kuznetsov – Chief Advisor to the Rector.
