Mentoring at the Financial University

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that Financial University is launching a mentoring programme, which is supposed to become a helpful tool for transferring experience, knowledge and values, and preserving traditions of the Financial University as an advanced university which introduces progressive ideas and leading practices. In this regard, starting from September 1st to September 20th, 2020, we call for applications from potential mentors so that it would be possible to work in tandem.

In today’s context, it is clear that no matter what unique information technologies may emerge, transferring of skills, knowledge and values from one person to another remains the main way of developing talents and professional qualities of an individual.

Being a mentor means having a high level of professional performance, moral qualities and considerable professional experience. They should also be credible, socially minded, and enjoy being an educator. 

In this regard, it is important to implement the mentoring programme at the Financial University and attract staff, faculty, students, and alumni.

At the Financial University, the mentoring programme should facilitate interaction between experienced, highly-qualified workers and newly employed or transferred workers to help them adapt, learn more about corporate culture and professional development.

Apart from that, the mentoring programme will ensure more interaction between the university and its alumni, who are willing to help current students, share their success stories, and provide career advice and help develop professional and socio-psychological skills.

The mentoring programme at the Financial University is managed by the Staff Planning and Development Centre and the Career Development Center.
