6 July 2020, on behalf of the Financial University, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Alexander Linnikov participated in an expanded online meeting of the Chairman’s Council of the Russian Federation Council for Interaction with Civil Society Institutions, which was organised jointly with the Civic Chamber of Russia.
The main issue discussed in the meeting was dedicated to the state support measures for socially oriented and non-profit organisations in the circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic along with the new amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
Alexander Linnikov emphasised the vital importance of implementing a new edition of the Art. 114 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation concerning the support of scientific and educational organisations as key institutions of Russia’s civil society.
Deputies of the State Duma, representatives of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, regional legislative bodies and non-profit organisations of the Russian Federation also participated in the meeting.
