Financial University congratulates Italian colleagues on Republic Day!
On June 2, Italians recall important events that happened in 1946 and celebrate Republic Day. This date is considered to be the birth of a new government system - Italy transited from a monarchy to a republican form of government.
"Financial University heartily congratulates all Italian friends, colleagues and business partners on Republic Day, Italy’s main national holiday, and wishes peace and prosperity", says Alexander Linnikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.
This holiday is a public holiday according to the degree signed by the President of Italy on 20 November 2000.
Military parades and many festive events are usually held in major cities. In Rome, military troops march from the Coliseum to the foot of the Capitol. In the sky above the center of Rome Italian air forces spray green, white and red smoke, to represent the national flag.
