Rector of the Financial University on the new schedule of the Unified State Exam (EGE)-2020

The Federal Education and Science Supervision Service published a draft of the new Unified State Exam (EGE)-2020 schedule. Examinations across the country will start on June 29th with the EGE in geography, literature and informatics.

The Russian language exam will be divided into two days: it will take place on July 2nd and 3rd. On July 6th, Advanced Mathematics will take place, while Basic Mathematics is cancelled in 2020, as it is not needed to get into university.

Three exams are required to enter most of the FinU programmes. There are a couple of programmes where four exams are required. On May 27th, the FinU Academic Council will adjust the number of examinations in all programmes

Mikhail Eskindarov, Rector of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation

Mikhail Eskindarov also made an important forecast: it is highly likely that there will be more applicants seeking educational loans.

Today, educational loans are offered at 8-16%, depending on the conditions of the bank. For the majority of students, this is an exorbitant amount. Very few applicants have applied for loans due to these reasons. The President has instructed to reduce the rate of educational loans up to 3 per cent. This will increase the popularity of university loans. It is desirable that the Central Bank decides quickly on the mechanism for granting loans under the new scheme and with the terms of their repayment. I hope applicants  will not need to do any extra paperwork, and the banks will just give funds when applicants get to the university.
