On November 12, 2022, the event “Russia and Vietnam: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” was held at the FinU, organized as part of the student festival “My Homeland: Big and Small”. The event is designed to promote the strengthening of interethnic and intercultural communications between Russia and Vietnam.

 

The guests of the solemn meeting were welcomed by Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector, noting the importance of cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region both for the country as a whole and for the FinU.

 

“The cooperation of the FinU with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has been going on for more than 70 years: during this time thousands of students – the best schools’ alumni – have been trained at our University. We are glad that, following the tradition, the students who came to study demonstrate a high level of training, motivation and great diligence, supporting the image of a modern and dynamically developing country,” Stanislav Prokofiev said.

 

In his welcoming speech, the Rector also expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia and personally to the Ambassador of Vietnam to Russia, Dang Minh Khoi, for supporting the development of long-term cooperation.

 

In turn, the Ambassador of Vietnam to Russia, Dang Minh Khoi, stressed the importance of establishing international relations in the field of education, noting that whole generations of Vietnamese students study at the FinU, receive relevant knowledge and skills that become the basis for a successful career in various departments.

 

The event highlighted a wide range of areas of cooperation between the FinU and universities of Vietnam in the field of education and science, including the organization of student and academic exchange programs, joint research and educational programs.

 

The discussion of cooperation  areas continued during a meeting of the FinU administration, the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Banking Academy in the Russian Federation. The parties paid special attention to the possibilities of launching double degree programs together with Vietnamese universities, implementing international projects and events, as well as strengthening ties in the field of science and education in general.

 

During the visit, representatives of the Embassy attended a concert of Vietnamese music and dance “Melodies of the Motherland”, and also took part in workshops “Beauty of Vietnam” dedicated to the culture and traditions of the country.
