February 15-16, 2020, the Mini-Football Championship of the Financial University took place in the Sports and Health Complex, where 20 teams from different faculties and colleges competed for the 1st place.
The team of the Office for Foreign Students and Scholars "The Foreign Legion" was represented by students from Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
In the group stage, the team played against the Moscow Financial College, the College of Informatics and Programming, the Faculty of Logistics, and the Faculty of Finance and Economics.
"The Foreign Legion" went to the ¼ final, winning 3 games with one draw.
In the quarter final, the team of the Office for Foreign Students and Scholars defeated the team of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology with a score of 4:0.
In the semifinal, "The Foreign Legion" met with the Faculty of Business Analysis and Audit and won with a score 3:1.
In the final, the team of the Office for Foreign Students and Scholars lost to the Faculty of Economics and Finance of the Fuel and Energy Complex.
Anatoly Bobrovsky (Kazakhstan) from "The Foreign Legion" was named the best goalkeeper of the Championship.
